1% city wide continued sales tax
This is NOT A NEW TAX!

Election Day February 9,2021
Early Voting begins February 2,2021
Voting at Wynne Fire Station
8:00 am to 4:00 pm weekdays only
Registered Voters within City Limits of Wynne.

This tax is set up exactly as the last election with the exception we are asking for a 10 year renewal instead of 5 years to help with long term planning.

65% of funds goes directly to city projects and employees and 35% is for Economic Development.

Breakdown as follows:
➢ 25% Wynne Parks & Recreation (This is 85% of their total budget)
➢ 15% Wynne City Projects - Currently City Hall/Police Department
➢ 8.33% Wynne Fire Department
➢ 8.33% Wynne Police Department
➢ 8.34% Wynne Street Department
➢ 35% Wynne Economic Development

The tax makes up 18% of the city's total revenue. A no vote will result in less city employees, services, and projects.

The income increase allowed the city to hire two full time fire fighters and two full time police officers. 

Due to the increase in the Fire Department budget allowing for the purchase of new equipment as well as the increase in personnel we fully expect our ISO rating to fall this spring which will result in residential and commercial fire insurance premiums to decrease which means savings to all of our citizens.
